CheckFree's Electronic Banking Software Glitch Mostly Fixed.

May 1 -- ATLANTA -- CheckFree said Friday it has largely fixed a glitch in a new software system that disabled electronic banking accounts for all week.

In most cases, the system should work fine but 2 percent of those trying to use it might still have problems.

The company, which provides electronic banking services, said the glitch affected a new program called Genesis. Genesis is used by 21 banks nationwide, including SunTrust and FirstUnion.

Many customers of these two banks in Atlanta reported problems signing onto to their electronic banking accounts.
