USA Network Online Division Adds Matchmaking Service.

May 18 -- Entertainment mogul Barry Diller wants you to buy a concert ticket -- and then take out a date directly from his Web site.

The Internet arm of Diller's USA Networks, Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch, snapped up online matchmaking service Match.com yesterday in a $50 million deal that helps Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch round out its regional city guide offerings.

"We think finding people to do things with is fundamentally local and is a natural extension to our online offerings," Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch CEO Charles Conn said.
