Jun. 7 -- ONWARD & UPWARD: Brett Burri has been named president of Mercantile Bank in Columbia. Burri joined Mercantile in 1991 as vice president of Mercantile Bank of Franklin County. Burri's responsibilities included management of a $20 million loan portfolio and retail operations of the Highway 47 & 100 location in Washington. Burri joined Mercantile Bank in Topeka as senior vice president – retail banking manager in 1995. Burri managed the mortgage and consumer lending divisions and had responsibility for the retail operations of 11 branches. Prior to Mercantile, Burri worked for American Bank of Franklin County.
