Jun. 20 -- AINBINDER PROJECT LATEST RETAIL BOOST FOR KIRBY CORRIDOR: The Kirby Corridor is taking another step toward becoming an upscale retail powerhouse.
The Momentum Jaguar/Volvo dealership on Kirby Drive is relocating to the Southwest Freeway to be replaced with a new retail center called the Centre at River Oaks, said Michael Ainbinder, chief executive of the Houston-based Ainbinder Co., developer of the project.
When fully developed, the shopping center is expected to include more than 100,000 square feet of space and will include a second floor.
The first phase of the project, located at the southeast corner of West Alabama and Kirby, will include about 47,000 square feet of retail space....
