Temporary Workers Win Round against Microsoft.

Jun. 25 -- SEATTLE -- Microsoft on Thursday lost its latest appeal of a class action lawsuit filed by temporary workers, moving the thousands of workers one step closer to some of the benefits offered to full-time employees.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Microsoft's request that it reconsider a May ruling that gave an unknown number of temporary workers the right to buy stock at the same 15-percent discount offered to regular employees.
Microsoft said Thursday it did not know what its next step would be in the 7-year-old lawsuit.
The company, however, continued to defend its right to use temporary, or contingent workers, hired through outside agencies.
