Jul. 26 -- Fleetwood Enterprises Inc., which has been gobbling up manufactured-home retailers, said July 20 it signed a letter of intent to acquire its first recreational vehicle company in 10 years.
Western Recreational Vehicles Inc., based in Yakima, Wash., employs about 560 people and operates two manufacturing facilities in its headquarter city. It has annual sales of about $60 million.
Terms weren't disclosed for the acquisition of Western, which was founded in 1971.
Riverside-based Fleetwood (NYSE: FLE) said the deal should be completed in about 60 days pending a definitive agreement, due diligence, and approval by both companies' boards.
