Jul. 31 -- Now that First Union has shaken up top management, anointing an heir to Chief Executive Ed Crutchfield, what's next?

"The first thing they have to do is basically re-establish credibility on the Street," says analyst Peter Kuper with Keefe Bruyette & Woods.

Top executives meet Wall Street head-on in New York Wednesday for a long-planned strategy session.
