Aug. 17 -- Palo Alto's plucky daily newspaper, whose editors for four years have prided themselves on exposing others' dirty laundry, aired a little of its own Monday.
One of the Palo Alto Daily News' founders, veteran newspaperman David Danforth, is suing his former partners, alleging they are cashing in on the paper's profits while refusing to print news that would scare away advertisers.
"The reputation of the Palo Alto Daily News has suffered irreparable damage," alleges Danforth, who was removed from the paper's management team by his partners nine months after the December 1995 opening issue. "The paper has devolved from being viewed as a respected news journal to a novelty."
