College Students Purchase Texts Online to Beat Bookstore Lines.

Sep. 6 -- Mohamed Mansaray took one look at the $96 price tag on his Advanced Financial Accounting book and headed for the door.
"I'm going online, because these prices are stupid," said the 26-year-old accounting major, throwing up his arms in disgust at the Rutgers University-Camden bookstore. "I can't afford these crazy prices."
Mansaray is among 14.9 million college students nationwide who have been enticed online to buy textbooks. Lured by the promise of low prices, no lines, and convenience, they are flocking to Web sites such as www.efollet.com
What's at stake here is a $5.3 billion annual industry in college textbook sales, which has campus bookstores fearful and fighting back for...
