Sep. 23 -- The closure of a Buena Park Lucky distribution facility slated for next year will result in the farming out of 1,200 employees to three other warehouse sites in Orange County.

Consolidation of the Lucky site into a second Lucky distribution center and Sav-on Drug and Albertson's distribution sites -- in Brea, Irvine and La Habra -- comes on the heels of Albertson's $11.7 billion purchase of American Stores Inc., parent company of Lucky, last year.
