Sep. 24 -- E-STAMP ARRANGES TO SELL ITS POSTAGE PRODUCT IN STORES: E-Stamp Corp., which sells postage over the Internet, said Thursday that it had struck a deal that will put its product on shelves in thousands of stores across the nation and in cyberspace.
A deal with Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro, the world's No. 1 computer wholesaler, will give privately held E-Stamp access to major retail chains such as Staples, Best Buy and Office Depot, said Justin Thomas, E-Stamp's director of strategy and planning.
E-Stamp lets customers use the Internet to buy postage, which is stored in a "vault" that plugs into a user's computer. When postage is used, a bar code is printed on the envelope and the amount deducted...
