Oct. 21 -- A recent $1.2 billion verdict against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. for using imitation parts in automobile repairs did little to clarify what parts Western New Yorkers can expect to receive during insured repair work.

State Farm has changed its policy and suspended the use of non-original equipment parts following the class action lawsuit verdict, which included $600 million of punitive damages.
