Downtown Dayton, Ohio, Site Chosen for Telemarketing Center.

Oct. 26 -- ORC ProTel Inc., a national telemarketing firm, is coming to downtown Dayton and bringing 230 jobs with it.

The company announced Friday it's setting up a phone center with state-of-the-art equipment and software in the 40 West Fourth Centre office building at Fourth and Ludlow streets. The center will open for business in the first week of November.

Allen E. Wolf, ProTel's chief financial officer, said the company will employ shift managers, supervisors, trainers, support staff and phone service representatives.

The firm chose Dayton because "we heard good things about Dayton's labor force," Wolf said.
