Oct. 28 -- STOCK DIPS DESPITE IMPROVED EARNINGS: Precision Response Corp. (PRRC) reported $2.4 million in third-quarter earnings Wednesday on record revenue, compared to a loss for the same period of 1998.
The Miami company posted a 27 percent increase in revenue, which it attributed to higher sales in its core call-center business, augmented by continued growth through its Internet-based customer-care subsidiary.
Precision Response's earnings beat analysts consensus estimate of 10 cents a share. The company's shares fell $1 Wednesday, to close at $14.06-1/4.
