Sprint Wireless Unit Leases New Building in Overland Park, Kan..

Dec. 4 -- Sprint Corp.'s wireless division has leased the new Trammell Crow Co. building in Overland Park, Kan. -- a sign that Sprint's proposed merger with MCI WorldCom Inc. isn't curbing the company's appetite for local office
space.
Sprint PCS plans to move into the building at 5901 College Blvd. on Feb. 1. About 600 administrative employees will occupy the building initially, said Alan Winters, vice president of call-center operations for Sprint PCS.
"Given the enormous growth of the company, we have outgrown our space," Winters said. "This will take us through 2001 and will definitely give us more breathing room."
