Idaho State University's Bookstore to Undergo $400,000 Renovation.

Dec. 13 -- Idaho State University's Pocatello bookstore is getting a $400,000 facelift this year, its first major renovation in more than 30 years.

Construction crews started work on the renovation last month and expect to finish this spring. The first phase, which will be completed by spring semester, includes removing a false ceiling and adding more textbook shelves.

The second stage will be more extensive.

Renovations include removing asbestos, replacing the 30-year-old carpet, adding new fixtures and beefing up the store's inventory with CDs, general-reading books, cards and gifts. It will also have reading chairs and couches.
