Ohio-Based Aluminum-Firm Chairman Predicts Industry Consolidation.

Dec. 16 -- Montgomery County, OHIO -- Amcast Industrial Corp. will grow through acquisitions as the flow control and aluminum wheel and component industries continue to consolidate, the company's top executive said Wednesday.
John H. Shuey, chairman, president and chief executive, said the intent is for Amcast to remain independent, but it is hard to predict if industry consolidation would include the purchase of Amcast by another company.
