Former Infoseek Executive Gets Bail on Porn Ruling.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Dec. 23--Former Infoseek Corp. executive Patrick Naughton was set free on $100,000 bail Wednesday by a federal judge who said that a recent appeals court ruling makes it likely Naughton will receive a new trial on child pornography charges.
A Los Angeles jury found Naughton, 34, guilty last Thursday of possessing child pornography. The Internet entrepreneur faces up to 10 years in prison.
Naughton's conviction was thrown into question Friday, however, when the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, ruling in a separate case, overturned portions of the Child Pornography Prevention Act.
