Intuit Adds Small-Business Web Site Tools to Accounting Software.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Jan. 6--Small businesses using Intuit Inc.'s QuickBooks 2000 accounting software can now build their own Web site to help give customers and suppliers easy access to company information as well as manage their company's finances through the Internet.
Intuit, maker of the popular Quicken personal finance software, Wednesday launched several Internet services for the estimated 3 million QuickBooks users who use the Internet. These services allow businesses to set up a merchant account and accept credit card payments from their customers, purchase postage stamps, initiate a direct mail campaign and apply for and receive business loans.
