Staples Hopes Pricey Items Move at Boston Airport Store.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Jan. 25--Staples Inc. had expected to sell lots of office supplies when it opened its first airport store in Philadelphia nearly five months ago, but not necessarily high-priced digital cameras and $450 computer notepads.
Nevertheless, those items are prominently displayed at the Framingham chain's second airport store, which formally opens today at Logan Airport.
Denise W. Mosher, Staples director of new business, thinks she knows why consumers are buying such items at a brisk rate.
"It's something they've been thinking about buying for a while, but haven't had the chance," she said.
