Mar. 9--MindLever.com is loaning a piece of technology to Microsoft to use as an add-on feature in its Microsoft Office 2000 software suite. The feature helps corporate trainers and educators label their online learning materials.
Microsoft announced Wednesday that the add-on software, which can be downloaded from the Internet, is now available for use with Microsoft Office.
"There are dollars involved, but that's not really the significant benefit," said Salim Bhatia, chief executive officer at Raleigh-based MindLever.
Bhatia declined to say how much Microsoft is paying for the rights to the software, but he said it is in the neighborhood of several hundred thousand dollars.
