Fort Worth, Texas-Based Travel Web Site to Debut on Nasdaq.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Mar. 8--Travelocity.com -- the No. 1 travel Web site, which is owned and operated by Sabre -- will make its long-awaited debut on the Nasdaq market today.

The Fort Worth-based Web site's merger with publicly traded Preview Travel was completed yesterday as Preview Travel shareholders voted in favor of the deal. Preview Travel, based in San Francisco, is the No. 3 travel booking site.

Sabre had been under increasing pressure from investors to spin off part of its Travelocity Internet site to the public to cash in on the Internet stock boom. Next week, Sabre, a Fort Worth information technology services company, will be completely spun off from AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines.
