Phoenix Customer-Service Software Firm Gets $7.75 Million in Venture Capital.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Apr. 12--TouchScape Corp., a Phoenix company specializing in customer-service software, said Tuesday that it has received $7.75 million in venture capital.

The funding came from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a Redwood City, Calif., venture-capital firm that has about 150 high-tech companies in its portfolio and manages more than $800 million in investment.

TouchScape will use the funds for sales, marketing and product development, spokeswoman Sara Bresnahan said. An extensive product launch is planned for May, she added.

The company was formed in early 1999 by Brian Hoover and Dwight DePalmer, formerly with Clarify Inc., a San Jose company that also develops customer relations management software.
