Apr. 24--POPULATION BOOM ONLINE SEEN IN CHINA: More than 70 percent of China's Internet traffic runs through the networks built by AsiaInfo Holdings Inc., a U.S.-based network solutions company with operating headquarters in Bejing and an office in Santa Clara.

It became the first Internet company operating from mainland China to list its stock on the Nasdaq composite index when the company went public in March.

Founded in 1993, the company sells predominantly Internet billing software, Internet e-mail and messaging software to telecommunication service providers and Internet service and content providers in China.
