Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News, May, 2000

May 7--The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has launched its annual recall roundup, aimed at getting already recalled products out of households. "People should do some spring cleaning and check their attics and other storage areas for old products that could be hazardous," commission chairman Ann Brown says.

Among the recalled products most likely to be in consumers' homes: infant car seat/carriers with defective releases, Pokemon balls that were included in Burger King kids' meals, swimming pool dive sticks, Cosco tubular metal cribs and Lane cedar chests.

For the complete list of products being recalled, send a postcard with your name and address to Recall List, CPSC, Washington, D.C. 20207. The list also is available by calling 800-638-2772...
