Borders Books and Music to Open Store in Longmont, Colo.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Jun. 10--Borders Books and Music is coming to Longmont, joining other superstores that recently hit the former agricultural town, a local property developer announced Friday.
Tara Thomas, media coordinator for Borders would not confirm that the chain was opening a Longmont store.
The new 24,895-square-foot-store at 1105 S. Hover Road will include a large selection of books and music, a children's area, outdoor patio and indoor cafe and will open in early September, said Don Macy, president of Macy Development Company. It will be located near Kohl's Department Store at the Retail Shoppes at St. Vrain Centre. Kohl's is scheduled to open October 7, Macy said.
