Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News, June, 2000 by Romer, Christine L.

Jun. 23--A Finnish company plans to bolster U.S. distribution with the $50-million acquisition of Boulder-based Artemis Management Systems.

Artemis develops project-management software for construction, manufacturing and software development applications. Helsinki, Finland-based Proha Plc has been one of Artemis' major Scandinavian distributors since 1983.

Artemis management team and 50 local employees will remain in place after the merger closes, which is expected in August, said Barbara Claire Morrow, Artemis' spokeswoman.

"It gives us an opportunity to have funding for the kind of work we want to do," Morrow said. "There are synergies between the (two) and additional resources in terms of people. It's a really nice fit."
