Jun. 22--KNOTT'S WILL DEVOTE THEATER TO LATE SCHULZ: Knott's Berry Farm is dedicating 2,100-seat theater at its Buena Park theme park to the late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. The lobby will have photos and memorabilia of his Peanuts cartoons and work.
The first show at the theater, which opens Saturday, is "Snoopy's Fabulous 50th on Ice," a 50th anniversary celebration that will feature five Peanuts characters skating to well-known Peanuts themes, such as the kite-eating tree.
All summer, Knott's is running a 50th birthday party for Snoopy, which includes such things as a daily birthday party with a free birthday treat for children ages 3 to 11.
