Six Top Executives in Atlanta Leave Cable TV Company MediaOne.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Jun. 27--The six top executives at Atlanta's largest cable television provider --- MediaOne --- announced Monday that they would leave the company.

Their departure comes days after MediaOne's official merger with AT&T.

Their successors, burdened by a history of poor customer service and a behind-schedule network upgrade, must try to polish MediaOne's image before it formally takes the AT&T Broadband name.

AT&T Broadband said the managers are leaving MediaOne's Atlanta office voluntarily.

Among those heading out is Vice President Ellen Filipiak, who oversees Atlanta operations.

She is succeeded by Steve White, formerly head of AT&T Broadband in Chicago, a market AT&T also describes as "challenging."
