Jul. 8--Derby-based New Era Cap Co. is in the final innings of cap-making blitz to manufacture a new limited edition All-Star 2000 baseball cap.

The new cap line includes head wear representing each of the 60 Major League Baseball stars who are participating in this season's All-Star Game. Each cap will feature a specific player's name, signature and uniform number embroidered on the side of his team cap, along with the All-Star logo.

The caps, which will be sold to the public, are the exact models that will be worn by the National and American League squads during Monday's home run hitting contest and Tuesday's All-Star game.
