Jul. 14--SYNQUEST WINS CONTRACT WITH FORD MOTOR CO.
ATLANTA -- SynQuest, which has offices in Clifton Park, is expected to announce today that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar software contract by the Ford Motor Co.
Ford will use the company's e-business software to help control transportation, distribution and inventory costs.
SynQuest evolved from Factory Automation and Computer Technology Inc., founded as a Troy company in 1986. SynQuest still maintains one of its largest branches -- a software development office -- in Clifton Park, where it employs 65.
The company registered with the SEC in May to sell common stock on the Nasdaq exchange using the symbol "SYNQ." The company is planning to sell 7.2 million shares and...
