Aug. 7--Gov. George W. Bush has one, and now Michael Dell does, too.
Michael and Susan Dell have closed on the purchase of a 1,751 acres of ranchland west of Austin, a Dell spokeswoman confirmed Friday. She said the Dells plan to use the property for family recreation but declined to offer details.
The land is among the largest and last undeveloped tracts along Lake Austin west of the city, known for picturesque views of the water and surrounding Hill Country. The Dells now have two hilltop views, including the one from their 33,000-square-foot mansion on a different stretch of Lake Austin.
