Oct. 5--Affinity Technology Group Inc. is in danger of losing its listing on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The market has notified the company it not in compliance with the market's listing standards.
For 30 trading days, Affinity's stock, traded under the symbol AFFI, has failed to close above the $1 mark, a requirement by Nasdaq.
Affinity, a Columbia firm that develops software and systems for the financial industry, has until Dec. 28 to remedy the problem. The company's stock must close at a minimum of $1 for 10 straight trading days .
Joe Boyle, president and chief executive officer of Affinity, said the low stock price is a concern, but the notice from Nasdaq is not a major issue at this point.
