Oct. 10--Because of the relative youth of the tech industry, Silicon Valley tends not to be a place where famous fathers produce famous sons and daughters who come up in the family business.
Unlike in other parts of the country, you don't see a lot of "Hewlett, Packard & Sons" out here. Among the exceptions to that are venture capitalists William Draper (whose son, Tim, is carving out a VC empire of his own) and Floyd Kvamme (proud pop of former USWeb/CKS Chairman Mark Kvamme).
Into that relative handful of names, you might now add Warnock -- as in Adobe Systems Inc. Chief Executive John Warnock.
