Middleton, Wis., Opens a New Office Building.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Oct. 12--MIDDLETON, Wis. -- Dane County's attractiveness for high tech businesses is fueling development of office and laboratory space, says Carol Biendseil, executive vice president of Western Center Properties, the development and management arm of Greenway Center in Middleton.
Evidence of the trend is Greenway Center's latest office building, the $11.5 million Greenway Center Building now under construction. The 132,000 square-foot facility has five floors and is designed to accommodate another five floors in height. It is the first to be built on Aspen Commons, a planned retail, service and pedestrian plaza that runs perpendicular to Greenway Boulevard.
