Nov. 3--Most Orange County high-tech business leaders have already voted in the upcoming presidential election with their checkbooks.

The winner: George W. Bush.

Top executives at Broadcom Corp. in Irvine, Conexant Systems Inc. in Newport Beach, Emulex Corp. in Costa Mesa and ThinkTank in Aliso Viejo have all donated to the Texas governor's campaign.

In sharp contrast, a search of Vice President Al Gore's campaign finance records shows only one donation from an Orange County high-tech leader: Brian Fargo of Interplay Enterainment Corp., an Irvine video game producer.
