Nike to Name Campus Facilities after Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Others.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Nov. 2--Star athletes Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong are taking up residence in Beaverton -- in name, at least.
Nike said Wednesday that it will name a new gym on its Beaverton campus after Armstrong and a new conference center after Woods. The company will also dub a pair of soccer fields after Brazilian soccer phenomenon Ronaldo and an outdoor sports complex including volleyball courts and blacktop basketball courts after retired women's basketball star Cynthia Cooper.
Nike traditionally names its buildings after athletes that wear and endorse its shoes and clothes. The company opened its Beaverton headquarters in 1990 with buildings named for athletes including runners Steve Prefontaine of Oregon and Joan Benoit Samuelson and basketball star...
