Loss of Chrysler Account, CEO Could Doom Detroit-Area Advertising Agency.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Nov. 10--FCB Detroit lost the battle for Chrysler Group's global advertising account to longtime rival BBDO Worldwide, and now the Southfield advertising agency could lose the war.
Mike Vogel, FCB Detroit chief executive officer, Wednesday was named chairman and CEO of PentaMark Worldwide of Troy. PentaMark Worldwide, which will emerge from the Troy-based PentaMark organization, won the global advertising account for Chrysler Group. PentaMark is a division of BBDO Worlwide. BBDO is owned by New York-based Omnicom.
Omnicom emerged victorious Nov. 3 in its two-month battle for the automaker's business, snatching the account from True North Communications Inc., FCB Detroit's owner.
