Auto Dealership Co-Owner Says Changes South Korean Firm Wont Hurt U.S. Buyers.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Nov. 15--Alan Standefer, co-owner of Chattanooga's Daewoo automobile dealership, said Tuesday that the South Korean company's reorganization in that country is no reason for concern for American consumers or dealers.

"It's pretty much business as usual for the forseeable future," said Mr. Standefer, who owns Heritage Daewoo of Chattanooga with his cousin, Ray Standefer.

"Business is fine right now. I'd understand if people have questions, but we haven't heard as much as I thought we would. Warranties are in effect, and parts are definitely available."
