West Virginia Senator Puts Public Service Commission Appointment on Hold.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Nov. 21--Gov. Cecil Underwood has signed an appointment letter to place state Sen. Martha Walker on the Public Service Commission, and a spokesperson said Monday the job is hers if she wants it.
Walker, though, said she hasn't decided whether to accept the appointment.
"I'm interested. I'm flattered beyond words. I'm not ready to make up my mind," Walker, D-Kanawha said. "I'm going to let it chill for a while."
Walker said she and her husband, Jerry, are going to their daughter's house in Richmond, Va., for Thanksgiving Day, and then they are going on to a beach house they own in North Carolina to stay until the end of November.
