Dec. 11--Here's what Howard Pinsley, president and chief executive officer of Espey Manufacturing & Electronics Corp., had to say for himself at the company's annual meeting Friday: "Last year, I said that we were doing well and hope to do better," he said. "This year, I say that we did better and hope to do better."
A few more remarks later, the meeting drew to a close, about 10 minutes after it started.
The $782,943 Espey made in profits last year were the most since 1994, up about $50,000 from the year before. Sales rose, too, reaching $14.7 million, up $1.1 million from 1999.
Shareholders overwhelmingly re-elected three directors and signed off on ratification of the company's independent auditor.
