Columbia, S.C.-Based Tech Firm Appeals Nasdaq Delisting.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)

Dec. 30--Affinity Technology Group Inc. has filed an appeal with the Nasdaq Stock Market providing a stay on the company's delisting from the exchange.
In October, Nasdaq notified Affinity its stock was not in compliance with Nasdaq standards because it failed to close at a minimum of $1 for 30 straight days.
Affinity, which develops financial software systems, was given until the end of the year to have the stock pass the $1 mark for 10 straight days.
But Affinity's stock never came close, hitting an all-time low Thursday of 6 cents a share. Shares of Affinity, traded under the symbol AFFI, haven't closed at more than $1 since August.
