Jan. 18--Now, Maxine Montoya's clients can get an outfit to go with that new hairdo.
Ms. Montoya has opened The Blue Bubble clothing store next door to her longstanding salon, All About You Hair and Nails, at 715 N. La Crosse.
She said that getting into the clothing business seemed like a natural extension since she has so much foot traffic coming through the salon and that it has been something she's been planning for a long time.
And even though it's not in a major commercial area where a new clothing store might be expected, the exposure to her salon clientele more than makes up for that.
Her styles now are aimed at teens but she hopes eventually to bring in men's clothes, too.
