Seattle-Based Streaming-Media Firm RealNetworks Gets New President.

Feb. 9--Seattle-based RealNetworks yesterday named old-media executive Larry Jacobson president and chief operating officer, overseeing day-to-day operations for the streaming-media giant.
Jacobson, 41, was president and chief operating officer of Ticketmaster, where he led the company's online expansion.
He also served as president of News Corp.'s Fox-TV Network from 1997 to 1999, where he worked on negotiations with the National Football League. He had worked for Fox since 1990.
Jacobson comes to RealNetworks at a time when its business model is under intense scrutiny by Wall Street. The company assembled millions of customers by offering free software to play...
