Feb. 19--HARD ROCK CAFE PUTS LOCAL AGENCY ON ITS AD MENU: Hard Rock Cafe International Inc. has tapped longtime Orlando advertising and marketing firm Fry Hammond Barr to help promote the Orlando-based global restaurant chain.

Ad company president and chief operating officer Pete Barr Jr., son of founder and CEO Pete Barr Sr., said the 42-person agency is energized by the chance to work with the granddaddy of theme restaurants.

Part of the agency's mission, he said, will be to help Hard Rock "attract a younger crowd, after 9 p.m.," in close to 30 markets nationwide. "They're doing a lot more with live bands," Barr said. "We'll also be helping to relaunch" more...
