Oklahoma Congressman Works to Push Energy Bill through House.

Feb. 28--Longtime Oklahoma Rep. Wes Watkins is a member of U.S. House's tax-writing committee and he's optimistic that major energy legislation will be approved this year.
Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Tulsa, also is optimistic that Congress will pass a comprehensive energy bill.
Freshman Rep. Brad Carson, D-Claremore, senses there is an emerging consensus in favor of a significant energy policy this year. He predicted that Democrats and Republicans would come together on the issue.
Veteran Rep. Ernest Istook, R-Warr Acres, said high gas prices have caused a change in attitudes in Congress.
