Co-Owner of Charlotte, N.C., NBA Team Won't Wait for November Arena Decision.

Feb. 7--Hornets co-owner Ray Wooldridge reiterated Tuesday that he won't wait for a November decision on a new NBA arena, even if that means moving the team.

"We simply cannot afford (to wait) and I think once the financial model is completed, there is no reason to wait until November," Wooldridge said in an interview before Tuesday night's home game.

These were Wooldridge's first extended comments on the timing of a proposed referendum since Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory said the city would hold a November public vote, rather than decide the issue in May.
