Feb. 8--Chrysler group President Dieter Zetsche is mum about speculation that DaimlerChrysler and partner Mitsubishi may join forces to build a small car--possibly at Chrysler's Belvidere plant, which now produces the compact Dodge Neon.

"We intend to join forces with Mitsubishi in some areas, but we aren't going to say what we will do because we don't want to tell the competition," Zetsche said Wednesday in an interview at a media preview of the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, which opens Friday in McCormick Place South.
