Wisconsin Governor Removes Budget Provision Protecting Utilities.

Mar. 22--Gov. Scott McCallum announced Wednesday that he will withdraw a provision in his proposed budget that infuriated state farmers by shielding utilities from liability in stray voltage lawsuits.
"I know you're not totally pleased with me on this issue," McCallum said to the 400 farmers from all over the state who gathered at Monona Terrace for Ag Day.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and other state farm groups sponsor Ag Day each year to provide farmers with an update on legislative issues and opportunities to lobby their legislators.
