Northfield, Minn.-Based Circuitry Firm Plans to Keep Britton, S.D., Workers.

Mar. 21--Sheldahl Inc. of Britton recently laid off a group of temporary employees, but all 80 or so full-timers are still working.
Dave Pfister, director of human resources at Sheldahl's Northfield, Minn., headquarters, said the company has no immediate plans to lay off full-time workers or close plants. But, he said, the slowing economy is taking a toll. "We're looking at everything throughout Sheldahl, and that includes the Britton plant."
For now, though, workers in the northeastern South Dakota community continue to produce flexible circuitry that's primarily used in the automotive and computer industries. An official at Britton Sheldahl confirmed...
